Countdown - 1 day to go

Anna- Today we started this blog, to keep a record of our holiday in the UK, Eurodisney, and Munich.  The idea is that we will all post on it, and then at the end of our trip we can print some copies out as books.

Packing in ernest today, with me repacking Hamish's bag, taking out lots of pairs of socks with holes in, and attempting to persuade him to wear other pairs.  In the end a compromise, he only took 2 holey pairs, and the rest have passed the Mummy Test.

Karen came and cleaned the house, and took away some basil plants in pots to look after and eat.  The rest of our pot plants will go to Pam's tomorrow.

I reconfirmed our flights with Air NZ, and found out we will get 290 Airpoints each for our travel, which will be better than nothing.  I'm sure Matt is already working out many ways to spend his.

Mother rang, as we are interested in visiting the town of Muthil, in Scotland where are forebears hailed from.  Mark's family are from Kirriemuir, and when we looked up on the map - guess what? They are 20km apart in Perthshire.  Strange to think that our family lines come from the same region.

As an aside, while I was on the phone to Mother, there was screaming from Montana-Rose, who had managed to staple her forefingers together, one end of the staple in each finger.  I think she had the stapler upside down the pressed it.  Blood everywhere, screaming etc, and she went off to The Big Day Out with both fingers plastered.

Very, very excited, this is almost down to the wire!
